Bachelor studies: Social work, Sociology; Master studies: European social politics
Our main objective is to provide a theoretical and practical training to our students, to train them for future positions as social workers and sociologists. In order to achieve this we lay emphasis on providing the necessary means and knowledge to our students, so that they can answer the problems of society relying on actual social processes.
Our department offers the following specializations: BA (three years study) in Social Work and Sociology (three years), as well as MA (two years study) in European Social Policy.
Besides the educational activity the Social Studies Department initiates and participates in numerous complex research and development projects. The staff of the department has been involved or is involved in several cross-border projects within the European Union.
